The International Conference is organised by the RA Ministry of Education and Science in the framework of the “Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training South Caucasus” (PSD TVET) programme implemented by GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The conference is going to be a dynamic event for national and international delegates comprised of representatives from the public and private sectors, industry, business, policymakers, development partners, NGOs, youth representatives and other TVET stakeholders.
The outcomes of the Conference will definitely guide the future development of the TVET system in Armenia, bringing its quality to a new level. Building upon the foundation of the “TVET Reform Programme 2018-2023” the developed recommendations and conclusions will support the transformation of TVET in Armenia.
Objectives of the Conference are:
- Showcasing of TVET international practices and innovations;
- Strengthening the cooperation among public and private TVET partners in Armenia;
- Supporting the implementation of TVET Reform programme by setting of priorities;
- Elaboration of recommendations for effective TVET development in Armenia.
Information about Organizers
RA Ministry of Education and Science is a republican body of executive authority, which elaborates and implements the policies of the Republic of Armenia Government in the education and science sectors. The present TVET reforms are aimed at enhancing the quality of education and empowering the workforce meeting the labour market needs and European standards.
The Private Sector Development and Technical Vocational Education and Training South Caucasus Programme is implemented by the responsible ministries of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with co-financing by the European Union.
The Conference will feature plenary sessions and parallel working groups. During the first plenary session, the Global Trends in TVET will be presented to TVET public and private stakeholders to identify challenges and areas for future TVET development.
The parallel working groups will allow participants to deepen the discussion around the following topics:
- Dual TVET for a Green and Inclusive Economy;
- TVET and Digitalization;
- Generic Skills for Life Long Learning;
- Entrepreneurial Skills Development.
On the first day of the Conference, the working sessions will be dedicated to discover specific aspects of the TVET system in the host country. This exposure will be further enriched with visits to TVET colleges as part of the conference programme on the second day.
The results of the discussions in the working groups will be presented during the second plenary session and in cooperation with expert groups and the RA Ministry of Education and Science will be finalized in the form of recommendations for the further development of the TVET system. Based on the registration and full attendance, the participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
